- when the dirty get down. . .
The Waste-Not Wagon was established by farmers in Waco, Texas, at World Hunger Relief, Inc. (WHRI) in the summer of 2009. While receiving training in sustainable agriculture and community development at the WHRI farm, three young farmers decided to pursue their dreams of growing food and loving neighbors – on a bus. The Wagoneers plan to host mobile workshops and community brainstorms on their traveling farm – all without any reliable funding sources or health benefits or employment security. Although the Wagon relies on WHRI for support through guidance and tangible resources, the Wagon is an unincorporated collection of fledgling farmers foolishly motivated to love and trust God for all of the basic needs of life.
And may God bless you with enough foolishness to believe that you can make a difference in this world, so that you can do what others claim cannot be done.
